Description
The cycle path Nicolas Franz (PC 13) connects the Attert cycle path (PC12) with the Centre circuit (PC1) via Garnich, Mamer and Strassen.
The PC13 cycle path starts between Kahler and Hagen. To get there, you have to follow the PC12, either from the centre of Kahler or from the church in Hagen. The trail starts at the entrance to the forest a few hundred metres south of the A6 Arlon motorway. After two climbs (1x 20m and 1x 40m) and a short descent, you reach the "route des trois cantons" (N13) in Garnich, which you have to follow in a northerly direction for about 500m and then turn right in the direction of Luxembourg City. After about 7 kilometres, you will reach Mamer by driving through the fields in an easterly direction. In Mamer ("rue du Baumbusch") you have to follow the "rue de Holzem" and the "rue du Commerce" until the centre and then turn right towards the church into the "rue du Millénaire". At the exit of Mamer ("route de Dippach"/CR102 and then "rue de Bertrange" (municipal road)) is the new railway stop for the technical high school "Josy Barthel" which was built on the left side of the track. You continue on the old Roman road up the Tossebierg (N6) towards Bertrange.
