Merovingian burial mounds Telpeschholz

The burial ground was excavated ground in 1961. Four burial mounds contained one skeleton. The fifth was a double burial. The burial offerings (among other things a long sword, a sword, knifes, and gold jewellery) and the type of burial show that the graves date back to the Merovingian era (7th century AD). The burial mounds have been reconstructed and are located on the circular hiking route Nospelt 1.
